What your teacher told you and what you have learnt are only on the classical perspective, which are for the easy understanding of school physics students. In the real physical world, this is NOT true.

When atoms are cooled down to very low temperatures, quantum effects (量子效應) become dominant. Classical physics theories cannot be simply applied in the quantum world. Particles (atoms, electrons, protons and the like) behave differently. Well known phenomena such as "superconductivity"(超導體) and "superfluidity"(超流體) are quantum behaviour of substances.

Accoding to well established quantum theory, vibration of atoms and molecules do not stopped even at absolute zero. There is a minimum energy with which atomic vibrations (these vibrations are called "quantum harmonic oscillators" in quantum mechanics) do possess at absolute zero temperature.
You may refer to the following web-page for referece. You don't need to understand the mathematics involved, just read the result presented in the last paragraph.

I hope the above explanation has answered your questions (1) to (3).

For Q4, thermal motion of any particles, including electrons, is affected by temperature. But do not confuse such motion with the orbital motion of electrons surrounding the atoms. Such motion is NOT temperature dependent. The behaviour of orbital electrons at low temperatures can only be dealt with by quantum mechanics.
