A rectangular coil of 200 loops has side of lengths 20 cm and 10 cm.

The coil has resistance of 2 Ohm. The coil is placed in a magnetic field so that the plane
of the coil is perpendicular to the magnetic field.

When the magnetic field is decreased at a rate of 5 T per second, what is the induced
current in the coil?

By Faraday's Law, induced emf equals to the rate of change of magnetic flux linkage with the coil.

induced emf = 5 x (20 x 10 x 10^-4) x 200 v = 20 v

By Ohm's Law, current through the coil = 20/2 A = 10 A
