can i open a checking account with a learners permit?

can i use it instead of a drivers licence cause i dont have one. It has a photo of me.

yes you can you can even use a ID instead, you will also need your social security card as well, some banks will require you to be atleast 18 years old for checking accounts and atleast 16 for savings accounts in just your name only, but my daughter got both when she was 17

If it is a state issued permit, you should be okay. They usually accept any State Picture ID.

No, you'll need cash to open a checking account. Your learners permit is not negotiable.

Yes, I know what you meant, and yes you can. You can open an account without a drivers license as long as you have some proof of identity.
