Let f(x)=-px^2+2x+5∵f(2)=f(-1/2)
∴
-p(2)^2+2(2)+5=-p(-1/2)^2+2(-1/2)+5
-4p+4+5=-p/4-1+5
-4p+9=-p/4+4
-4p+p/4=-5
4(-4p)+4(p/4)=4(-5)
-16p+p=-20
-15p=-20
p=4/3

Let f(x)=-px^2+2x+5. Since f(2)=f(-1/2)
-4p+9=-p/4+4
15p/4=5
p=4/3
-4p+9=-p/4+4
15p/4=5
p=4/3
