(a) what are the distances of ship B due west from port A and due south from port A respectively?
(b) what are the distances of ship C due east from port A and due south from port A respectively?

✔ 最佳答案
(a)
distances of ship B due west from port A= 8 cos 45
= 5.66
due south from port A
= 8sin45
= 5.66

(b)
distances of ship C due east from port A
=12cos33
=10.1
due south from port A
=12cos57
=6.54

(c)
distance between ships B and C
=√ (8 cos 45+12cos33)^2+(12cos57-8sin45)^2
= 15.7

(d)
angle
= tan^-1[(12cos57-8sin45)/(8 cos 45+12cos33)]
= 3.20

compass bearing= N 86.8 W
