電和等離子

Electricity (electric current) is produced by movement of charge carriers. Plasma itself is a mass of ionized gas. A plasma, on the whole, is neutral. It contains equal number of electrons and positively charged ions. These ions and electrons are all in random motion.

If the ions or electrons in the plasma are made to flow in a single direction, this constitutes an electric current.
