appeasement policy
CONS:
1.encouraged Hitler's and Mussolini's aggression to expand through their existing borders
2.Chamberalin originally utilized it to gratify aggressors,but it lastly ended in WW2
3.many countires had to sacrifice,eg.the Czechoslovakia had to cede Sudutenland to Hitler in the Munich Agreement

PROS:
1.the European countries,esp. Britain and France gained time to rebuild their economies and societies since they suffered tremendously after WW1(1914-1918)and the Great Depression in 1929
2.procrastinated an immediate war
3.maintained peace and stability in europe
