DNA, Deoxyribonucleic acid, is one of the different kinds of nucleic acid. There is another example of nucleic acid, the Oxyribonucleic acid.
Nucleic acids is one type of materials, like carbohydrates, with a fixed basic structure. The basic structure (monomer of nucleic acid) includes a Pentose, Phosphate and Nitrogenous base. The modification of the structure of nucleiotide (monomer of nucleic acid) produces different kinds of nucleic acid.
