cartoon network in the 90's?

ugh this is driving me nuts. i'm not really big into anime, but i watched it when i was little. i'm trying to remember this one, it was on cartoon network during the 90's. all i remember is it had a black cat and a little girl in it. it was pretty long so i think it might've been a movie but i'm not sure.
um i guess i'm just looking for names of anime that aired in the 90's and i'll try to figure it out
