5Y-4Y=5-4

Try
(5y-4y)+(4-5) =0
therefore y + -1=0

so y= 1.

5x1=5 +4 =9
4x1=4 +5 =9

so the equation is balanced.

Kill the similar parts from both sides
y = 1
