4/6 + 4/6 = 8/6 = 4/3 = 1 â
Wow this is really easy. Okay so first you find the common denominator for 2/3 and 4/6. That is 6, so you multiply the fraction on the left which is 2/3 by 2 so it becomes 4/6 + 4/6. When added that becomes 8/6. If you simplify it it become 4/3. You can also make it an improper faction and that would be 1 1/3.

2/3 + 4/6
= 2/3 + (4/2)(6/3)
= 2/3 + 2/3
= 3/3 + 1/3
= 1 + 1/3
= 1 1/3
2/3 = 4/6 so the sum is 4/6 + 4/6 which is 8/6 or 1 2/6 or 1 1/3
