The term "acid hydrolysis" only tell us that the hydrolysis undergoes in an acidic aqueous solution. H^+(aq) ions may acts as a reactant, the catalyst or both.

For example, in acid hydrolysis of ester, H2O acts as a reactant and H^+(aq) ions as a catalyst.
RCOOR' + H2O = RCOOH + R'OH
(H^+ as catalyst)

One more example, in acid hydrolysis of amide, H^+(aq) ions act as a reactant.
RCONH2 + H2O + H^+ → RCOOH + NH4^+
