Not sure if you like fiction or non-fiction...
There're quite a few books that I personally enjoyed.
Randy Pausch's book: (If you are going to read his book, I strongly suggest you read a bit more about the author first. This way, you will enjoy the book more)
- The Last Lecture (<- This is a true story that could bring tears, the author died in 2008)
This is about Randy Pausch:

Mitch Albom's book are absolutely addictive (at lease, to me):
- Have a little faith: A True Story
- Tuesdays with Morrie: An Old Man, a Young Man, and Life's Greatest Lesson
- The Five People You Meet In Heaven
- For One More Day (<- I haven't read this one yet, so, can't be 100% sure)
Stephen King (his books are close to horror style):
- The Green Mile: The Complete Serial Novel (<- This one is not really horror style and they made a movie too, which is also really good!)
- Insomnia
Cecelia Ahern (Most of her novels are love story - very heart-warming):
- PS I Love You (<- I haven't watch the movie, but really want to watch the movie after reading this!)
- The Gift (<- I think it's her newest novel - I haven't finish reading it yet!)
Jane Austen (Love story with more "thoughts-for-life" style; But so far I've only read one of her books; And just for your information, this is REALLY OLD!!):
- Pride and Prejudice (<- Love both the book and the movie! In Chinese is: 傲慢與偏見)
Also, like the above people's suggestion - Dan Brown's books are really good.
Have Fun Reading!!
