There are two similar flying saucer toys.It is known that the volume and the total surface area of the larger flying saucer are 42 cm^3 and 79 cm^2 respectively.If the width of the smaller flying saucer is 40% shorter than that of the larger one,find
a) the volume of the smailler flying saucer,
b) the total surface area of the smaller flyng saucer.

a)Let the width of the larger one = w , then
the width of the smaller one = k(1 - 40%) = 0.6w
The volume of :
Big : Small = (w : 0.6w)^2
42 : Small = (1 : 0.6)^2
42 : Small = (5 : 3)^2
42 : Small = 25 : 9
Small = 42*9/25 = 15.12cm^3
b)The total surface area of :
Small : Big = (0.6w : w)^3
Small : 79 = (3 : 5)^3
Small = 79 * 27/125 = 17.064cm^2
