The verb 'do' in simple present sense is used in two ways:
Full verb - As a full verb , do has the meaning of to perform, take part in or
achieve something. For example: You do your homework every day.
Auxiliary verb - As an auxiliary verb, do is used together with a full verb to form negations and questions.
Examples:Negation - I do not
like reading on the bus.
Question - Do you know where Lantau Island is?

'Do' as a verb in simple present tense remains unchanged after 1st or 2nd singular, i.e., 'I' and 'you', or plural, e.g., 'we', 'they', 'people'. After singular, e.g., 'he', 'she', 'it', 'person', 'do' becomes 'does'.
