Yesterday my computer randomly shut off for no reason at all. It started up just fine after that, so i thought at the time it over heated or something. Today it shut off again for no reason. when i tried and try to start it up it comes to something called Virus Protector and it wont let me exit it at all! Alt f4 wont work clt + shft + esc wont work. Even when i boot in safe mode it still comes up to this virus protector. i have Avira, malwarebytes, and spybot. No doubt in my mind its some kind of fake windows defender Trojan, or something along those lines. How can i remove this????? remember i cant even log into my computer...... what do i do?

What this programs does:
Virus Protector is a rogue anti-spyware program that is promoted through malware. When the malware installs Virus Protector it will also create hundreds of harmless files with random file names throughout your computer. These files will then be detected as infections when Virus Protector scans your computer. If you try to remove them, though, the program will state that you must first purchase it before it will allow you to do so. This is a scam as the files are created by the rogue in the first place and are harmless to your system. Therefore, do no purchase this program for any of the reasons it may give.

OK, I have the solution for you. The other posts fail to realize that you can't even log in to windows or in safe mode. That is why their suggestions are not going to work. I too had this problem this morning. I couldn't login in windows or normal safe mode without this hellish program starting up. I got the virus while visiting an article on Iran. I wish that I could be locked in a room for 10 minutes with the cave dweller that made this Virus Protector Program.

The Solution: Click F8 when booting your computer. Start windows in safemode with command prompt. If you are using Windows XP type in "%windir%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe", if you are using Vista then just type "rstrui" This will launch your system restore feature. Restore your computer back to the date before the Virus Protector program was installed on your computer. This worked for me and hopefully it will work for you.

Good luck!
