but why doesn't the force acting on mass B is F/2 ?? I think each of the 2 springs is stretched by force F/2. what's wrong with me? plz tell me=]

Option A.
When the force F is suddely removed, the two springs are still under stretched condition. Hence, mass B is subjected to a spring tension equals to F. But the net force on mass A is zero because the spring tensions on its left and right hand sides balance each other.
