write down the balanced chemical equation for the following reactions:

1. Using carbon monoxide to reduce Iron ( III ) oxide to extract iron
in the ore.

2. By using chemical equations to explain how lead can be extracted
from lead ( II ) sulphide. ( hint: the process involve 2 steps )

Word equation: ↓

First step:sulphide + oxygen → lead ( II ) oxide + sulphur dioxide
balanced chemical equation: ?

Second step: lead ( II ) oxide + carbon → lead + carbon dioxide
balanced chemical equation: ?

Write down the balanced chemical equation for the following reactions:

1. Using carbon monoxide to reduce Iron( III ) oxide to extract iron in the ore.

Fe2O3 + 3CO → 2Fe + 3CO2

2. By using chemical equations to explain how lead can be extracted from lead( II ) sulphide.

2PbS + 3O2 → 2PbO + 3SO2
2PbO + C → 2Pb + CO2

老爺子是對的

不過PbS + O2個條式既product佢打左3SO2
應該係2SO2先岩

1. 3CO + Fe2O3 --} 3CO2 + 2Fe

2. PbS + O2 ---} PbO + SO2
2PbO + C ---} 2Pb + CO2

Note:

If you want to write an equation, you should know what the formula of the chemical first. Then, you should balance the equation by looking for element which present in one compound in both side. It would be easier.

Hope my equations help.
