The question is "is this what you want for your entire life?".

In term of spending your time to expose your career path, do you suggest to do it now (when you are still young) or later (when you become late 30).

It is true that the choice of jobs is very limited in term of salary. However, if you change your view by looking at future career exposure, then there is having many job vacancies waiting for you.

Consider that you have a soccer team which is in the top place in any Hong Kong local league. Now you want to recruit some new players. Will you consider those players who never played soccer?

Let say you are willing to recruit a new player like that, what if that player is unwilling to spend extra time on practice but always urge you let him to participate on the game? What will you think?

Switching the role which you are the new player, are you willing to spend much more time on practice and earn a place to participate on the game and win your medal?

There is nothing wrong to spend your early age as a security guard. It is saying you are giving up the opportunity to join a good team which has potential to win a league, but joining some crapy teams which always stay at the bottom of the league. Yes, your place is very stable and no need to practice at all.

It is okay to be a security guard now, but don't complaint that it is hard for you to change field in the future. You have already chosen your way.

If I were you, I will take the opportunity for the career with better exposure. Although the salary is lower and the working time is longer for today, your future is better secured.
