i think the world is about to end since the earthquakes in chile and haiti, too many earthquakes we dont know which one is next, i think the end is near, anyone else think that? please share or what do you think?

Earthquakes are only one of the signs that we will see before Jesus comes back, what needs to happens for the end of the world is found in Matthew 24:14 and it says: "this gospel will be preached to the entire world and then the end will come"

People have believed that the world was ending ever since there were people on earth!
Read some history, you will see that there has always been a reason why the end is nigh. It really isn't, so don't worry. Global warming won't be the end of it, it's just another panic like the rest of them. In twenty years time you will look back and laugh to think you ever believed in it.
Besides, what do you want to do - have a miserable life worrying about everything, or make yourself and those around you happy by enjoying the only life you have on earth?
Think about it. And don't worry, it's pointless.

I don't think the earth is ending but the quake in chille did move the earths axle .oo3 centimeters or something like that. It could be argued that the earthquakes are leading up to 2012, but i don't know so i'm just going to keep living and if the world does end what can you do?

No. We understand earthquakes reasonably well, at least in terms of explanation why they occur.

Not in the least, we have had Earthquakes since the world began, and even in the brief history of mankind they are a regular occurrence, the bible story of Jericho is (in part based on fact) archaeologists have shown the ancient city was destroyed several times. More recently the 1906 earthquake that destroyed San Fransisco will happen again, there is at present no way to tell if this will happen next Tuesday or 50 years from now, but it will happen.
There has been no sudden increase in earthquakes records of earthquakes go back to the start of recorded human history.

Never believed in anything like that. Fgured if anything humans would somehow cause the end of the world. However, with all the recent quakes and flooding and landslides and other environmental disasters I'm starting to come around and might start believing.

I am not sure when the world will end but yes it will end. the way life began on earth it will end the same way. something very bad will happen. and it has also started. the pollution and global warming and all the other natural calamities - the world will end faster for them. there are many scientific reasons behind these. if we don't do anything fast then the world will end more faster. also there are rumors in my school that an asteroid will hit the earth and destroy it into pieces. well we common people cannot do anything can we? so pray to god that the world does not end.

The End of the World will be a good thing to religious people because God at the end willings to control human by his spirit. Then there will be no more sins: God's corruption will be named as holiness.

Haiti Earthquake may be due to the geo-thermal energy harvesting in France and in California, where they pump sewage to underground for steam. That can cause Earthquake at the other end of the world.
Chile may have exceeding underground water turning into steam , due to the exceeding melting ice in mountain area. Or, the Earth orbit is changing; the gravitational field needs to modify to fix the time and thus cause Earthquake. That Chile earthquake has caused the day time to slow down by about 1.7 sec.
