It is tempting at first to eat some meat, but after a while your body no longer craves meat. I actually think meat doesn't smell good anymore.

For me, it wasn't that hard. You just really have to believe in yourself and your reasons for not eating meat.

There's no need to quit cold turkey, you can prepare a vegetarian meal or twon a week. Get the Vegetarian Starter Kit from -

In about a week without meat your body stops relying on meat. It's been two week since I last ate meat and now when I smell meat I feel like throwing up.

I quit cold turkey one night last year after reading some disturbing things in a book. I haven't slipped up on eating meat or anything for 3 months. But, meat still smells soo good so it is hard sometimes, but it's worth it because of the animals :)

it was a piece of cake for me, and I am vegan.
it all depends on the person's will power.
I quit cold turkey but apparently weaning yourself off meat has worked for many. maybe try some vegan/vegetarian meats out there.

For me, I cut out meat altogether after growing up eating it, and it wasn't that difficult. If you think you will have a hard time, start out slowly and cut different meats from your diet until you are meat free. It doesn't have to be an overnight thing; if you are more comfortable weaning yourself off of meat, do so.

I think it's easier for you to do it step by step, little by little, just like what I'm doing at the moment. I used to eat meat almost every meal, especially beef and chicken. After few months trying, I'm now stop eating red meat and poultry but only seafood and egg once awhile. I don't know how much longer I can keep doing it but I'll try my best to cut down my carbon footprint.

I think if you stop slowly it would be a lot easier on you.... Maybe you don't have to just stop, but just eat less and less til you don't eat it at all. If you'll be dedicated then growing up eating meat wont even matter. :) ♥
