I don't understand something about the undercover boss show?

The new guys, a.k.a. the undercover bosses, tell the employees and trainers that they are there to film and document the in workings of entry level positions in large corporate businesses. The employees might think a little something is up, but I don't think that they realize the guy is actually the CEO becasue they would definitely be kissing ***.

At the beginning of every episode, they tell you that the employees & trainer are told that they are filming a documentary about entry level positions.

Which brings us to your other point, shouldn't they act better knowing they're on camera? You're right, anyone in their right mind wouldn't be a complete jerk to the new guy while on camera. So I suspect, just like every other "reality" show out there, that it is heavily influenced by the producers.

Why fly the trainers all the way to each company's headquarters just to let them in on the undercover secret? They act like they don't know what's happening. That's bull...you expect me to believe they just pack their bags & maybe leave their family to fly off to don't know where, to talk to don't know who for don't know why? I don't think so. Why not just tell them the secret right there in their own store?

You would think by now that these people have heard of Undercover Boss and knows that when a documentary comes around to film, that it's a 98.7% chance of being Undercover Boss. Maybe.
