「學分累積制」(Credit Accumulation Mechanism)是香港理工大學專業進修學院一個非常靈活及富彈性的學習制度。學員可根據自己的興趣、時間及學習進度釐定進修計劃。在完成個別單元課
程及通過評核後，學員可獲取學分，若學分累積至足夠數額，可獲頒發香港理工大學專業進修學院的專業進修學術資格，包括，學士、副學士、專業進修文憑或專業 進修證書。

目前在理工大學，學分累積制課程主要由專業進修學院 (SPEED) 及企業經管人才發展中心 (MEDC) 舉辦。學員於這兩個中心修讀的學分累積制課程認可度是等同的。而專業進修學術資格則由專業進修學院頒發。
