relation同relations有咩分別?

Relation

4. The way in which one person or thing is connected with another: the relation of parent to child.
Relations
1. The mutual dealings or connections of persons, groups, or nations in social, business, or diplomatic matters: international relations.
2. Sexual intercourse.

relation - 單一種關係。
relations - 多種或多重的關係。

e.g.
The relation between me and my boyfriend.「關係」一定最少兩人(樣東西)，所以兩樣的關係用單數

一般人際關係客觀而言是指一個跟個人以外的人的關係，所以實上是對眾人的眾數。

I have an intimite relation with my wife. 我跟我妻子有親密的關係。

The relations between Legislators and Governments officals is very tense.
立法會議員跟政府官員的關係非常緊張。
由於有多位議員又有多位官員又有多種議題所以用眾數relations一定唔會錯。
