We ...., therefore we are. 這個句型是來自笛卡爾的「我思故我在」 I think, therefore I am.
當你喜歡某種東西,好像什麼東西的存在都可以懷疑,但你喜歡的那個東西,讓你對自己的存在深信不移,你就可以用動詞套用這個句型,「我...故我在」。

In the case of "I think, therefore I am", the use of a comma is worth more discussion. I am glad you brought it up.

While there is a convention to use a semicolon to connect two independent clauses without a conjunction, I don't think it applies to this situation; the relation between "I think" and "I am" is too close to use a semicolon.

When two clauses are short and interconnected, a comma instead of semicolon should be used. That's why you see a lot more instances of "I win, you lose" than "I win; you lose." A semicolon used in situations like this would totally choke the feeling of interconnection.

By the same token, the two main ideas in "I think, therefore I am" are so close that a semicolon seems a spoiler.
Look at this example, and imagine if we had put semicolons between the short clauses in the quote:
