why are college students soo crazy (parties, drugs, alcohol, sex)?

I have no clue..I ask this question all the time. I'm in college right now (i'm a junior), and it blows my mind how many of my fellow class mates are constantly going to parties and getting drunk/having sex. They can't even use the excuse "I'm making memories," because they're so hung over from their hard partying, they don't remember any of it, lol. If you ask me, it's pretty much a waste of time.

I'm all for having having fun, but at the end of the day, your GPA is what's gonna help get you where you want to be in life.

Because you are away from home and you suddenly have all the freedom you want! And, I would say peer pressure have a lot to do with it.

But then again, just get into a good study group and you'll be fine. =]

Pleasure now, pain later seems better than pain now, pleasure later!
Not that drugs, alcohol, or inappropriate sex is all that pleasurable in a healthy person's mind, but some fall into the pit and can't find a way out until it gets so bad, they are never the same again.

It is because they are away from home for the first time without mom and dad telling them what to do and what time to come in, who to go out with, how much to drink, etc.
