警員如何進修學士課程

香港公開大學有兩個專為現職警員而設的課程 :
分別是『警政心理學』 和 『警政社會學』,
與香港警察學院所教授的『執法及保安管理證書』相同,
由2006年開始,
香港公開大學便開辦『警政心理學』 和 『警政社會學』.



『警政心理學』的編號是PS206CF,
課程內容如下 :
(1) 溝通技巧
(2) 壓力管理
(3) 受害人心理
(4) 衝突管理
(5) 處理精神異常、有暴力傾向等人士的方法



『警政社會學』的編號是PS205CF,
課程內容如下 :
(1) 警察的角色與功能
(2) 專業操守
(3) 警務工作的問責性和認受性
(4) 與少數族裔和傳媒的關係
(5) 不同的警政模式，
例如社區警政和內地警政模式等

programme is designed to equip those in-service police officers as well
as other practitioners from other disciplinary forces with the latest
knowledge in social sciences, especially in psychology and sociology,
and management related to policing.


Entry RequirementsHolders of Associate Degree/Higher Diploma in policing-study related disciplines or equivalent; OR

Holders of Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in other disciplines*; OR

Mature
candidates (those who have reached the age of 25 at commencement of
study)* with at least 5 years of related supervisory experience in a
disciplinary force who can provide a portfolio on their organisational
involvement, leadership and professional experience, and demonstrate
their ability to complete the programme to an admission committee at an
interview and pass an admission test; OR

Mature candidates
(those who have reached the age of 25 at commencement of study)* with
Diploma in policing related study or equivalent qualification from
recognised tertiary institutions and
i) at least 2 years of working
experience in a disciplinary force, satisfactory completion of
Secondary 6, 5 passes (including English & Chinese) in HKCEE, and 1
pass in A-level subject or 2 passes in AS-level subjects in HKALE; OR
ii)
at least 3 years of working experience in a disciplinary force, and
satisfactory completion of any professional examinations for promotion
to supervisory positions; OR
iii) at least 4 years of working
experience in a disciplinary force, satisfactory completion of
Secondary 6, and 5 passes (including English & Chinese) in HKCEE.
