Maybe. If the application loads for a second and finally closes out for no reason you might have a problem. I would either search for an update on your ipod using iTunes. Or Restore it using iTunes to it's original software and you can put the songs and apps back on there. Usually your apps back up onto the computer.

Just so you know this is just my guess, it should work because restore takes the ipod back to it's original out-of-the-box state.

Nothing's wrong with your iPod, same thing happens to mine... this problem is very common on jailbroken iPods especially in categories.

I am not sure I fully understand what you are referring to when you say they "pop back out". But a good first step in trouble shooting would be to reboot your ipod and see if it still has the same issues after it reloads.
