How do you cut ice skate guards?

I asked a question How to size ice skates for guards? but i forgot to ask what to cut the guard with???

I used a serrated bread knife; it took a while but it worked. You could also use a hacksaw or have your rink do it for you.

A pair of garden shear will do.

I had the pro shop do mine. If you don't want to do that just use a serrated knife, that should work.

Hm...that's a good question, how you would cut them. I believe there are special clamp things that you use. An employee at your local figure skating store - and maybe even one of the hockey players at your rink's pro shop - can - and should! - cut them for you.
