1/3 + 2/5

First, I'l make the denominators be equal (remember, it's numerator/denominator):

1/3 is equal to 5/15 (divide by 5 on denominator and numerator and it'll be 1/3)
2/5 is equal to 6/15 (divide by 3 on denominator and numerator and it'll be 2/5)

Now I have 5/15+6/15=11/15

There, the answer's 11/15

5/15 + 6/15 = 11/15

1/3 + 2/5
= (1 x 5)/(3 x 5) + (2 x 3)/(5 x 3)
= 5/15 + 6/15
= 11/15

1/3 + 2/5 = ?

1/3 + 2/5 = [5 (1) + 2 (3)] / 3*5

= [5 + 6] / 15

= 11 / 15

= 0.73333333

1/3 + 2/5
1st get the least common denominator (LCD), since the denominator are 3 and 5, their LCD is 15
( multiply 3 by 5 = 15)..now get get the sum of the numerator 1 +2 then the denominator became 15.

(1+2) / 15 = 3/15 the answer can be reduce to lowest term divide 3 by 3 = 1 and
15 divide by 3 = 5
the anwer will become 1/5.

1/3+2/5=
1x5=5 <---making them equivalent
3x5=15
5/15+2/5
2x3=6 <----
5x3=15
5/15+6/15=11/15

Get the same denominator (bottom number)

So 1/3 = 5/15
and 2/5 = 6/15

5/15 + 6/15 = 11/15
