Hi, I'm going down to Orlando in two weeks, coming from NYC - freezing up here. What kind of clothes I should bring down to Orlando? Do I need some long sleeves? I'm not sure whether the weather gets chilly at night.

I agree with the suggestion to check the weather forecast a few days before you leave (check about 3 days before you leave for the most accurate forecast). Check for "Lake Buena Vista, FL" or "Kissimmee, FL".
Here is a link to our local national weather service office:

Right now, we've had a cold front come through; and it is staying cold for several days. Lows in the low to mid 30s F, highs in the 60s F. By next weekend it should warm up a little, lows in the 40s and highs in the low 70s. If another cold front comes through while you are here you can expect some rain and the temperatures to stay cool, if we don't get another cold front, then it will not rain much and the temperatures will be very pleasant by the first week of March, lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s.

Your best bet is to plan to dress in light layers for cooler days; comfortable walking shoes and socks, jeans, short sleeved shirts with a sweatshirt and a lightweight jacket (like a windbreaker). For warmer days jeans or shorts and short sleeved shirts, maybe a sweatshirt for late night or very early mornings. Go ahead and bring a swimsuit; it may warm up enough to swim, in the pool at your hotel. A water repellent jacket is good in case it does rain a bit, a windbreaker will be fine, or you could carry a rain poncho.

You will still likely need sunglasses and maybe a hat; even when it is cold the sun is strong here. Sunscreen is also a good idea.

Have fun!

properly, i'm a Canadian who lived in Orlando for 9 months between August and could. as we communicate of the year, as quickly as I lived in Orlando, i may be donning t-shirts, skirts, sandals, stuff like that. As for the rain, as quickly as I lived there, the rain became incredibly plenty constrained from as quickly as I arrived on the tip of August by using somewhat to the hot year. After the hot year, it did no longer rain like it did earlier, which became incredibly plenty on a daily basis on and stale in the process the day. you could prefer a easy jacket if it turns unseasonably heat yet it is the main you will need.

It can be colder here than in NYC, when watching the news based in NYC it said it was 50 degrees there while it was 30 degrees here. Highs here could range in the 30s to 50s, 60s if your lucky, bring a jacket, it already snowed here.

I'm in Florida right now and it's been really cold all week..
Check www.weather.com in advance to packing your things. If you type in the search "orlando, florida" you can see the predicted forecast for those dates. I would say bring jeans, short sleeve and long sleeve shirts, a jacket just in case.

Yeah you should bring a light jacket and a pair of jeans or something. Just in case.

Typically, it can get pretty cold at night. I can see my breath during Illuminations at Epcot in the Winter. You can have warm days and you can have cold, cloudy, foggy days.
But, with all of this "global warming," it may snow.
