k3-2k(k)2-27=0
k3-2k3-27=0
k3=27
k=3

2a)f(1)=0
2(1)3+2(1)2+k(1) +6=0
2+2+k+6=0
k=-10

b)f(x)= 2x3+2x2-10x+6
=(x-1)2(x+3)

3a)f(0)=6
2(0)3+p(0)2+7(0)+q=6
q=6

f(1)=6
2(1)3+ p(1)2+7(1)+q=6
2+p+7+q=6
p=-q-3
p=3

b) f(x)=6
2x3-3x2+7x+6=6
2x3-3x2+7x=0
x(2x2-x+7)
x=0

4) f(x)=(x-1)Q1(x)
f(x)=(x-2)Q2(x)-4
Let f(x)=(x-1)(x-2)Q(x)+k(x-1)
f(2)=-4
k=-4
∴the remainder is -4x+4.
