I'm working on this practice problem and I have no idea how to solve it.
You have a team of people split up into two groups. One group has a growth rate of whatever at 10%, and the other group has a growth rate of the same thing at 5%. You need to find the total growth rate for the whole team. It also tells you that the number of people in the first group is 60% of the whole team. Can someone please explain?

1st group is 60% of whole team (x), so there are 60/100 *x = 3/5x persons
2nd group then has 2/5x persons.
average growth rate in 1st group is 5%, so the growth rates of every person in the first group summed up is 5%*3/5x = 3% *x
the same with the second group: 10%*2/5 = 4% *x
so the growth rates of the whole group summed up is 3%*x+4%*x=7%*x
so to get the everage, just divide with the number of whole group ) 7%*x : x = 7%
