is it odd to ask a girl out for a coffee when we first talk?

there is a girl i see every monday when i am on the bus to uni, we get off the bus and take tram together, but we've never talked to each other b4, so i am thinking to go and ask her out for a coffee or lunch after her lecture or seminar
