Okay, live cd(s), used for booting pc's in order to do stuff we usually are disallowed.
I know this type of stuff can likely get many users into trouble, but I'm pretty cautious and so I'd like to pick up a live cd or two (ref my laptop's OS's).
For now, I'd simply like to be able to clean out my cookies, but copy those I trust-need into a folder and be able to get them back into the temp folder (which the pc Gods feel we're not supposed to do).
I see there's several that likely are suitable for my OS's, ie; Windows Preinstallation Environment, BartPE (Windows XP/2003),
WinBuilder (Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista),
Reatogo-X-PE, and VistaPE, so which one(s) should I be using?
Maybe so long as the platform is specific and applies to each of my OS's, choosing is a no brainer, but I read that users can also use a live cd to run more than just the Windows aspect of operations, I think users can also effectually 'slipstream' the running of patches, maybe even programs off the live cd, yes/no??
I know there're other workarounds for doing things like this (handling cookies, saving favicons, etc.), but the idea of re-claiming a modicum of control over 'my' OS(s) is very intreguing.
