The Elderly are those beyond middle age and approaching old age. Many elderly individuals look forward to, and enjoy, their retirement
years. Others, however, fall into a deep depression upon retirement, as
they mistakenly feel useless and out of place in society.

Age can bring a wealth of knowledge from one's experiences, and
sometimes it brings stubboness along with it, too.

Dealing with the
elderly requires some patience, understanding and tolerance.

The Elderly deserve our respect. We should hold the door for them. We should be polite to them. We should give up our seat if we see a senior citizen standing. We should be a good listener.

We should devote some time to an elderly person, helping them with their house work, whether they are a family member,
friend or someone we don't know so well. Put it on our calendar or
diary and make it a habit.

We should treat them the way we want to be treated when we are old.
