Step 1

Boot
up your computer and start the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. (This
software comes with your BlackBerry phone, but if you need to you can
download it to your computer; see Resources below.)

Step 2

Connect your BlackBerry phone to the computer with the USB cable.

Step 3

Click
"IP Modem" on the BlackBerry Desktop Manager's homepage. On the left
side of the next screen, click "Configure" to set up connection. In the
drop-down menu next to the Connection Profile, click the name of your
service profile. Click "OK."

Step 4

Click
"Connect" on the right side of the page. You are now connected to the
Internet through your BlackBerry phone. If at any time, you would like
to know how long you have been connected or how many KBs you have
transferred, you can see that information on the right side of the IP
Modem screen when you are connected. When you are ready to stop
Internet sharing, click "Disconnect."
