Microscope!

Why does a microscope image appears to move to the left when you actually move the object to the right???
Please help!

Because a microscope is different from a single convex lens.

The object lens (the lens close to the specimen) creates a real image. The real image is inverted. The eye lens (the lens close to your eye) turns the real image to a virtual image (no inversion effect). The combined result thus has an inversion effect.
