Going to Orlando and Disney?

Hi, I'm planning to go to Orlando and Disney in the end of this month. How do you get around there? Do you really need to rent a car to go to different places? We want to visit some theme parks.

if you are just going to disney world (magic kingdom, epcot, hollywood studios, animal kingdom, blizzard beach, typhoon lagoon, downtown disney, wide world of sports complex, golf course, 24 hotels) then NO you would not need to rent a car. if you stay on property in a disney world hotel then disney will offer you FREE transportation from the orlando international airport (MCO) to your disney world hotel and back.
and regardless of where you stay on property or off property there is FREE transportation within the disney world resort. there are buses, boats (where there are waterways of course), and a monorail system (limited to where the monorail tracks are of course).

if you plan on staying in a hotel off property MANY hotels offer a FREE shuttle service to the ticket and transportation center (TTC) which is the main hub of transportation on disney world property.

if your off property hotel doesn't offer a shuttle you'll have to find your own way to disney world by either a cab, a public bus, or by renting a car.

if you stay on disney world property and plan on going to other theme parks such as universal studios, universal islands of adventure, wet n wild, seaworld, aquatica, or busch gardens (which is in tampa bay) then you will have to find your own transportation via cab, bus, or renting a car.

I would definitely rent a car if you're planning on going to places other than Disney. You're probably gonna need to go on the highway, etc. Like the other person said, you could get a Disney package.

Stay at a on-site hotel. Disney offers three pricing levels for the hotels to fit every budget. All of them offer either bus, monorail, or boat transportation to all locations in Disney. The best Disney experience would be to stay at either the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Grand Floridian, Old Key West, just to name some of the classic Disney resorts. It's all based on your budget and what you want to do with your vacation. There are many possibilities.

Sea international is in Orlando. So is the moist n' Wild water park. Legoland is about 40 5 minutes away. Tampa is about ninety minutes away and has Busch Gardens. The Kennedy area center certainly isn't a topic park, in spite of the indisputable fact that it really is a fairly cool position to visit. this is about 60 minutes faraway from Orlando.

When I went down with some friends it seemed like a pretty spread out area. I'd probably recommend renting a car.
