Your mind is the thing that does your thinking, it's your actual thoughts, your spirit is your being or essence, your life as it were that makes those thoughts possible. That's how I'd define it anyway.

Spirit comes from the Greek word meaning breath because when the anceint people saw a person die they observed that person's terminal breath and believed that the person's life (their breath) was leaving them. I therefore associate my spirit with that spark of biochemical energy that is life.

Depends on who you ask. Some persons suppose that the "soul" is the private, purest, everlasting side of the self, at the same time the brain is our "earthly" brain that has passing ideas and feelings. The spirit could also be considered because the intermediate stage or verbal exchange among the 2. Others suppose that "soul" and "spirit" are 2 phrases for the identical factor, the natural and everlasting center of the self, at the same time the brain is the superficial side in which the character of the soul interfaces with the demands and boundaries of the organic frame. Still others suppose they are all distinctive methods of considering the identical factor, that the brain, soul, and spirit all come up from the identical supply, whether or not that be our organic brains or our supernatural essence. You'll listen plenty of distinctive interpretations of those strategies from distinctive philosophers and devout businesses.

The soul is the higher mind. (The lower mind is the intellect.) You can tell the difference by the vibration.

Excellent question

I don't think theres a simple answer because neither one is clearly defined, but if i were to give an opinion - I'd say the mind is based in clear thoughts and the spirit is based in ambigious feelings.

So when u think to yourself, "I am feeling uncomfortable" - its your mind, but when you actually feel uncomfortable - whether your aware of it or not - its your spirit.

The scriptures tell us that the carnal mind is enmity against God... it desires the things of the flesh..The spirit desires spiritual things ...Gods word

Your mind is intellect and your spirit is your heart. Listen to your heart (what you feel;-).

There is no difference. It's just a matter of semantics. Our mind is the only thing that we have; no spirit involved or needed.

First you'd need to prove that the "spirit" actually exists, for which there is no evidence.

The mind exists and the spirit does not.

One is actually there.

Your spirit (if born-again) is your access to communion with God and is of the spirit (spiritual realm), the mind is of the physical realm and must be renewed and conformed and subject to Christ, as it is vulnerable to the tactics and schemes of Satan. Your spirit is your born-again heart, in a way. This is why the mind is unfruitful when your spirit prays, and that the Spirit of God testifies with your spirit, that you are a child of God. I don't think we are supposed to register our spirit. We are just (hopefully) supposed to recognize that we have one. There is body, mind, and spirit. The body is closely associated with the brain, and the brain with the mind. The spirit is associated with our mind to best of my understanding. But as you can plainly see the mind and the body are quite unlike each other. Perhaps the spirit is to the mind what the mind is to the body.

My soul is me, my mind is me.

I don't tell the difference, they're just different words that describe what is my "essence".

You, (meaning all of mankind) ARE a spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body of flesh, blood and bone.

it obviously depends on your religion, but this is what I believe!
Thoughts the Spirit puts in your mind will match the feelings He puts in your heart.
Doubt is in the unsure mind; the Spirit knows exact.
The Spirit of God will impart instruction to your minds, and you will impart it to each other.

Mind is part of our body; which means when your body is weak, mind also becomes weak. But soul is the presence of God in us. God has put his soul in every human being like a micro chip. Through this soul alone God knows all our thoughts, deeds and words. We also feel or experience God only through this soul. You can't feel God through Mind. Soul is placed above our mind which is active at all times. When our mind thinks in the wrong manner, the soul warns us. When our mind moves in proper direction, the soul rejoices. Only if we look deep into us to find the presence of God within us, we shall be able to recognize our souls and thus working towards to enrich it.
