3/(√60)
= 3/(√60) * (√60)/(√60)
= (3 * √60)/[√(60^2)]
= (3√60)/60
= (√60)/20
= √(2^2 * 15)/20
= (2√15)/20
= (√15)/10

Okay so you need to get rid of the square root from the denominator. But remember, what you do on the bottom, you have to do on top. So multiply the square root of 60 by itself. Don't forget to multiply 3 and the square root of 60. So, on top you will have 3 sqrt 60 and on the bottom, you will have sqrt 60 X sqrt 60 (or just 60). So your unsimplified answer is 3 sqrt 60/60. But you can reduce it to sqrt 60/20. That is your answer.

3 / √(2 x 2 x 3 x 5) = 3 / √3 x √(2 x 2 x 5)

=√3 / √20
