Will Manny Ramirez make the Hall of Fame?

Him using HGH is not going to keep him out of the Hall of Fame. MLB suspended him for it and he served it, end of story.

The man has 500+ hr's , 1700+ rb's , and is a .300+ lifetime hitter. He's getting into the Hall baring some other unforeseen problem that would keep him out.

A lot will depend on how the the BBWAA feels about PEDs when his time comes. Right now, they seem to be taking a tough stance with McGwire, who's the first real big test. Keep in mind, however, that Manny's "hitting" numbers pretty much blow Mac's out of the water:

AVG: Mac-.263 Manny-.313
RBI: Mac-1,414 Manny-1,788
OBP/SLG: Mac-.394/.588 Manny-.411/.591

Mac, of course, leads in the "power" number so far (583 HR vs. Manny's 546). And right now it appears that the stigma of PEDs is still on the power aspect rather than the "prolonging career" aspect. Fact is that, like Barry Bonds, Manny is one of the best pure hitters of his generation and is known more for that than his power numbers.

If he can fool the voters into thinking that his violation was a "one-time" event by adopting the "Andy Pettite Strategy" ("I just used them once to help me come back from an injury...") Then I can see him still getting in on the first ballot. In fact, I think the pendulum would have to swing even further to the "anti-juicers" side to keep him out of the Hall.

The HOF should be for clean players so I think Manny, A Rod, McGwire, Sosa and others I didn't mention should be out.

No, Manny is a joke. He is not in the same league as any member of the Hall.

Ramirez is a general pollhall of famer, whether he never gets 500 homeruns. he's already submit marvelous numbers, even for the steroid era - a take carry of hitter for some years and with 2 rings on his arms, he's tremendously plenty clinched it. possibly no longer the best guy or the nicest guy, yet you may no longer deny he's tremendously plenty a HOF shoo-in.

I believe the voters (though mostly incompetent) are taking a pretty clear stand against players with PED abuse history. Manny Ramirez now falls into that category and I believe without a serious change in opinion by the voting community he will not make it into the Hall of Fame.

No. McGwire can't get in and Manny is following in his footsteps

I doubt it now since he tested positive for a Illegal drug. I would still put him in the Hall though
