I do not know for sure. I had two jobs through the military and I was in for 8 years, reserves. I had to complete the first job and did. When my reserve unit began to phase my job out, we had to do something else. I had two years of reserve time so I did another job.

I would ask another recruiter at another place if you do not get any answers on here. Best wishes to you.

nope. One you cannot become a citizen before serving a year in uniform.. then you cannot get another MOS until you re enlist.. and that will be for a minimum of 4 years on top of what you have already done.

soonest tyou can re up is maybe MAYBE 2 years in. and the new MOS will require a minimum time in service that will NOT be only 2 years, you can bet on it.. any job requiring a clearance is usally 6 years

you can change if the job is available in your unit. you will have to keep this MOS for a certain period of time (probably 2 years). especially if you get a bonus for the job you sign with. think of it this way, you have to earn the bonus before you can switch to a different job. but it is a good idea to go ahead and join so you can get your term started!

good luck!

Its possible, but unlikely.

Generally you have to wait until you reenlist, to retrain into another mos.

But if you are in an over manned mos, you can apply to retrain after one year at your first duty station. Then you generally must retrain into a mos that is under manned.

It is not just simply, you telling them you want another mos,

doubtful, very doubtful. your recruiter will tell you whatever you want to hear, not the truth. i know, i have done it twice and have 10 years in. you can change jobs in the army, but they are downsizing, they usually only want to give you what you want if agree to re-enlist for it. if you dont want the other mos they say you can have, i wouldnt risk it. i know a lot of guys that have been screwed big time while trying to re-class(change jobs). dont trust the army, and never trust your recruiter, EVER.

You can only change jobs if one is available and your unit will let you or you can sign a new contract. I would suggest pick a job you do want from those you can then sign a two year contract and try again.

Warning you will always have the first job (MOS) on your paperwork so they could use you in that field whenever they want.

that is complicated to respond to that, you ought to connect via correct motives not in basic terms to have a stable activity. you are able to desire to be specific which you extremely desire to connect and be arranged to be taken care of in comparison to a girl yet as a soldier. you're envisioned to hold your man or woman weight. As a girl you're gonna cope with a lot of sh*t. Like not working quickly adequate, even nevertheless lady popular are decrease while it come to exercising you're envisioned to maintain up which contain your group, squad, platoon or business enterprise. you besides mght might desire to settle for the reality that as quickly as you end guidance you will probable installation interior of a year. in case you are able to cope with all that it can be a solid element for you. you will learn and journey a lot of latest issues. Your top should not be a difficulty.

in theory but not in reality.
yes after a year at your unit you are able to sign a 41-87 volunteering for anything really. but its not likely to get accepted.the army just spent a lot of money training you for one job, and now all the money is goign to go to waste if they approve it. also it just opens up another slot for that mos that youre unit has to fill.
the BEST way to go about it is to join the reserves, then after 6 months after ait volunteer for active duty. that gives you the best chances. or find a MOS that is going to be phased out pretty soon.
otherwise youll have to reenlist

You may want to shop around check with the other recruiters see if the story checks out.
basically get a second opinion. Sounds like he or she is trying to take advantage of your ethnic background.
