The NE has more established neighborhoods and older homes.. so homes are alot more cheaper and affordable generally in the NE, renting or buying.
The newer areas are in the SW, and NW, and deep SE
If you are looking into buying a house, I would recommend the NW area in Calgary.
if you are just renting, then NW and SW are fine too.
as long as you stay in the west side of the city then you are good.
you're in luck~ i lived in Calgary for 10 years but moved to the states for school~
I lived in Hamptons, and its one of the really nice communities out there
some of the really nice ones are: Arbour Lake, Bearspaw, Spring Bank, Elbowsprings, Cochrane (kind of outside of calgary but really cozy fun place~~)
I miss Calgary sooo much because its a fun, vibrant developing city that has soo much to offer~
you won't regret moving there~
