Hello!

I believe your question is:

4/5 + (1/6)x = 7

We'll move 4/5 to the other side first:

==>(1/6)x = 7 - 4/5
==>(1/6)x = 35/5 - 4/5
==>(1/6)x = 31/5
==> x = (31/5)/(1/6)
==> x = (31/5) x 6
==> x = 186/5

Final answer:

x = 37 1/5

Hope this helps!

4/5 + 1/6(x) = 7
30(4/5 + x/6) = 30(7)
6(4) + 5(x) = 210
24 + 5x = 210
5x = 210 - 24
x = 186/5 (37.2)

(1/6)x=35/5-4/5=31/5
x=31/5 / 1/6=186/5
God bless you.

4/5 + 1/6x = 7
change round the equation, to get x on its own

7 - 4/5 = 1/6x

no change the denominators in order to add and subtract fractions.
7 - 24/30 = 5/30x

minus the 5/30 from both sides of the = to get x on its own

7-29/30 = x

now subtract the reminaing fractions
7/1 - 29/30

change denominators again
210/30 - 29/30 =

divide 181 by 30 to simplify
181/30 = 6.033333333

x = 6
i think!? havent dont maths in two years!

Isolate x on one side of the equation:
4/5 + (1/6)x = 7 ................I'm assuming it's (1/6)x and not 1/(6x)
4/5 - 4/5 + (1/6)x = 7 - 4/5
(1/6)x = 31/5
6(1/6)x = 6(31/5)
x = 186/5

If you did mean 1/(6x) then:
4/5 + 1/(6x) = 7
4/5 - 4/5 + 1/(6x) = 7 - 4/5
1/(6x) = 31/5
x(1/(6x)) = x(31/5)
1/6 = 31x/5
(5/31)(1/6) = (5/31)(31x/5)
5/186 = x
