let log be log to base 2
1+ 2 log x = 5
2 log x = 4
log x = 2
x = 2 ²
x = 4
1 + 2log_2(x) = 5
2log_2(x) = 5 - 1
log_2(x) = 4/2
x = 2^2
x = 4
1 + 2log_2(x) = 5
2log_2(x) = 4
log_2(x) = 2
2^2 = x
==> x = 4
1 + 2log₂ x = 5
2log₂ x = 4
log₂ x = 2
x = 2²
x = 4
1+2log_2(X) = 5
2log_2(x) = 4
log_2(x²) = 4
2^4 = x²
16 = x²
x = 屉16
x = ±4
But reject -4 as a solution as it would cause a negative log in the original equation.
Solution is x = 4
