I read from a text book but don't understand this
Solubility of gas in water increases with decreasing temperature.

I don't understand why. I just know reaction rate increases with increasing temperature.

Henry's law states that the higher the temperature, the lower is the solubility of water.

At a higher temperature, the kinetic energy of the dissolved gas have higher kinetic energy, and thus would escape from the solution to the atmosphere more readily.
