“Please hand out your cert.” is not OK
hand out = 分配東西，not交出

請交出你的証件：
“Please present your passport.” OR
“Kindly present your identity document.” OR


“Present your certificate of identity.”

“住址証明文件” = Proof of Residence

It is very rude to say 交出你的証件, no matter in English or Chinese.

Try to ask it in a polite way:

Can I have youir certificates?
Would you please show me your certificates?
