y(1+25%)(1-0.8%) = 2500
(1.25×0.8)y = 2500
y = 2500/(1.25×0.8)
y = 2500
∴The cost price is $2500.
y(1+25%)(1-0.8%) = 2500
(1.25×0.8)y = 2500
y = 2500/(1.25×0.8)
y = 2500
∴The cost price is $2500.
