( Would ) : 查字典看解釋: 簡單看了前面, ( used as the past form of will when reporting what sb has said or thought. will 的過去式,用於轉述, 將來,將會 ) [ 我的問題來了,will 是將來,而 would 是 will 的過去, 即是將來又變回過去,( 用 would 的意思是否: 即是講又即是過去 ) ].

不要誤解would=will的過去式，只有係reported speech入面will才會轉做would。一般情況下，would係代表機會率約50%，(如Would you like some drink ?答案只有"想"(50%)同"唔想"(50%))。另一意思係表示說話的禮貌(如I would like to... 。)

You can not use "will" in this sentence becasue you are talking a future time from the past (yesterday).

過去都有將來，例如十年前你說他三日後會去北京，你會說 He will go to Beijing three days later。現在講番你十年前講過的話，就變成 he would go to...

任何時態都有現在同過去的
所以不用覺得奇怪。
